River trip

I got word they have been on a river cruise since Tibet so they are ok. The rest of china is beginning to protest so just in time.

They are OK (if you believe that the government isn't forcing them to say so)

On March 16th I got this message on discgolfersr.us

"We have safely left the city where the trouble is. Unfortunately, the government has now blocked our access to this trip network, so long as we are still in this country. We cannot post blogs or images. We are safe and will update as soon as we can, but it now may be after we return home."

National news is probably waiting impatiently for anyone to return and tell their story..

Finally in Tibet, but . . .

We are unlikely to get to see much, if anything, of what we had planned to visit.



If you are following the news, you are aware that there has been much unrest and violence, the worst earlier today. There were clouds of black smoke hanging over the city as we approached, probably due to Tibetans burning cars and Han Chinese-owned shops today, and we hear from the international news that there are Chinese army tanks in the center of the city.
